Paraguay confirms friendly matches against Bolivia and Colombia

Paraguay's national team confirmed friendly matches against Bolivia and Colombia during the September FIFA window. The first game will be on September 27 at 17:30 in Washington DC's Audi Field against Bolivia, led by Óscar Villegas. The second match will be on October 3 at 21:00 in New Jersey's Sports Illustrated against Colombia, coached by Néstor Lorenzo. The Albirroja, working on coach Gustavo Alfaro's renewal, will play both games in the U.S., which will be the first international window after the 2026 World Cup and before the 2030 World Cup.

FIFA's new format for the international window

FIFA modified the September-October international window format, starting on September 21 and ending on October 6. This change aims to give coaches more time to prepare players and allow up to four friendlies in the same period. Paraguay will play only two matches in this FIFA window, although the regulations permit up to four games within the same timeframe.
